Dear WWE Members I am excited to be taking on the challenge and honor to be the WWE President for 2023-24 season. I look forward to promoting our organization and working on ways to build our community. There are many characteristics of our group that I admire. Our very affordable annual membership gives the best bang for the buck when it comes to the variety of opportunities to network, connect and build relationships. The women in our group are like a sisterhood and truly want to see each other succeed; we offer referrals, celebrate successes, offer advice for improvement for challenges and even share in the sorrow when a loss is suffered. As I begin my journey as your President, I have requested the members to share with me their reasons for joining and what they would like to see in the coming months for WWE. Two common themes arose consistently: appreciation for making connections into lasting friendships and a desire to learn more professional related knowledge to grow a business as a Wisconsin Woman Entrepreneur. The beauty of our monthly schedules is wrapped up in the variety of offerings. We have First Friday breakfasts and Last Tuesday dinners to hear speakers, educators and local business professionals share their knowledge. Our Thursday coffees and occasional local outings offer a time to connect socially without an agenda other than to have some fun. The Brown Bag Wednesdays offer each member a chance to connect again while showcasing their business over a lunch break! With some meetings continuing on Zoom and some in-person there is hardly an excuse to not be involved at some level with other women who will partner with you on your journey whether it be business or personal. With so many options to connect it’s natural to believe that relationships will develop, and those relationships will lead to referrals for your own business. The best way to reap rewards is to invest. So why not invest in yourself, your business, and your membership by volunteering for a committee or a ad hoc helper for a project. Keep your eyes and ears open for people in the community who would be an asset to WWE as a member or a speaker at an event. Our board works hard to bring quality events, but they can’t do it alone- as the saying goes “It Takes a Village!” I am willing to be the Village Idiot ….er I mean President for the next year and make whatever positive impact I can to improve your day, your connections and your business. Please accept my open invitation to email, text or call me with your thoughts on ways to accomplish our WWE mission for success and the vision to be the premier organization to empower women in business to become successful and prosperous. Humbly yours. Lisa Kromanaker Wines For Humanity 608-469-0809 President, Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs |
